Kind hosts and nice room. Good value for money and super location for looking around the centre of town. Spotlessly clean!

I was there for business, not as a tourist, so cannot comment in detail. The traffic can be very troublesome. The property where I stayed was outside the main town centre, which would cause me to choose it again.

Firstly, Guildford is a very busy little town, with a dual carriageway splitting the place in two. The cathedral is definitely worth a visit, stunning architecture and views of the surrounding area. Lots of choice for dining and drinking. If you like a trad pub with good choice of beer and live music, then try the Star on Quarry Street. Recommended.

Small town vibe.
Small town vibe. Very vibrant and l enjoyed the delicious cuisines. I don't like the fact that everything shuts down at 6pm even on a weekend.
The closing time should be looked into, especially on the weekends.

Bit tricky to find town centre.
Bit tricky to find town centre. Cobbled streets are lovely but not ideal for wheelchairs. Nice individual shops and eateries. The park and ride signage remains but is no longer running. Parked in York car park. The exit to town centre is on level 9 but no signage

Lovely river walk with good riverside pub for lunch or dinner.
Interesting castle with beautiful spring flowers.
A theatre with good range of performances.
Older people should be aware the High Street is quite a steep hill.
Lovely town - many nice places to eat.

A huge range of shops and coffee houses.
A huge range of shops and coffee houses. Everything is close walking distance of The Angel Posting House Hotel; 2 maybe even 3 shopping malls, so even if its raining you can shop. Unusual shops, one off shops and designer shops.
Information Centre in the High Street, very helpful and got a map of town and surrounding area within walking distance. We parked outside of the town on housing estate as parking limited and expensive in the town. We walked from there along the river about a mile into the town centre.
The public area was surprisingly upmarket and with the dark wood panelling; i felt as if i had checked in to a Marriott.
It was a shame that we only needed the bed as there was a swimming pool and (unlike the Guildford Harbour Hotel which has a pool; resident guests have to pay £10 to use the pool for an hour.) probably a lovely breakfast; we did not get a chance to use either.
Would imagine their Christmas events with the right entertainment, would be equally traditional and feel like being in a Bing Cosby Christmas movie!
We booked the hotel whilst travelling to Guildford in the evening. Between 9 and 9:30pm we got an email saying if we arrive after 10:30pm we need to advise them. We did not see it as we were in the car. We arrived at 10:55; the pub, the hotel were all closed and there was no staff, no reply to knocking on the door, no reply to telephone. So we paid over £100 for nothing but stayed at the travel lodge nearby for £32. Suggest others do the same.
Location was excellent. Despite in high street, it was quiet and we slept very well. Guildford was a wonderful place to visit; lots to see, unusual shops and designer shops; High Street and shopping malls. Plenty of eateries and coffee shops. Bills restaurant is excellent and attached to the hotel, with inner door from hotel to restaurant. Recommend booking a table everytime, very popular.
welcoming of the receptionist the ambience of the hotel comfort and cleanliness quirky room which had wonderful views and is in easy distance of Guildford. Albeit spa was busy we did what we wanted to do and had a great chill out. This is our go to hotel in this area and price given the facilities and establishment well worth every penny. on this occasion we did not eat at the hotel
Sue is a friendly, available and organized host. Her house and the room were really clean and quiet. The room is a studio with all utensils and amenities to cook, including fridge, microwave and oven. Mattress are really confortable. Central location in Guildford, close to public transport. Stay in family in the 3-person room/small studio with windows on the street.
I LOVED THE BUILDING and staff. and an added bonus was a Bill's Restaurant in the building. It was an easy walk from the train station with my dog. we were in Guildford for the Richmond Championship Dog Show. I had a High Street facing room which was noisy at night and with the heatwave, i had to leave the windows open and the portable fan running. all was fin.
Great location and good value for money compared to the hotels in Guildford.
Property was clean and had everything I needed for my one night stay.
Great communication from the owner when I asked a question.
Would use again if I’m ever in Guildford again.
The room was a very decent size, with a large bathroom and walk in shower. The bed was also very comfy. By far the best thing about the hotel was the bar and lounge area. The space and layout are top class. Restaurant food was also excellent.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The Hotel and the restaurant were so comfortable and cosy, the staff was super nice and helpful. My room was spacious, well furnished and very clean, the bed was comfy and warm.
I strongly recommend it.
Staff here are always very welcoming on arrival, this is my third stay here now. Much nicer rooms than a nearby (more expensive hotel) that people tend to gravitate towards.
Always enjoy staying here when in Guildford.
Our room was immaculate and bright.Bed was very comfortable.Stunning hotel and grounds all kept to a very high standard and very friendly helpful staff!Nice breakfast and lots of choice.
Good location as its set back nicely, only challenge is the big roundabout when you need to go right during busy times. Sizeable car park and plenty of services at the hotel.
