The Alma Hotel exceeded our expectations in all regards. The hotel, our room, the staff and location were all superlative. Hidalgo and Nelson booked us with good restaurants, were so helpful with travel plans, and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast of omelets, baked goods, fruit and coffee was generous and delicious. The Cuidad Vieja was a lovely place to stay, plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and it was quiet and safe.

Only 650 ft from Solis Theatre, Hotel Palacio features rooms with free Wi-Fi and cable TV in central Montevideo. The Harbour Market in the old city is half a mile away. I love the charm of this hotel. It was amazing to stay in something with so much character! Great central location. Definitely will stay here again. Also the lady on reception was the nicest person we've met on our trip.

Just a 7-minute walk from Independencia Square and 600 yards from Solis Theatre, Puertovideo features accommodations in Montevideo with a terrace. The apartment was well-furnished and it had a functional and well-equipped kitchenette. Towels and bedding were pleasantly scented. The internet connection was surprisingly fast. Although the immediate surroundings left something to be desired, the port and historic city center were conveniently just a short walk away.

Boasting a shared lounge, FAUNA Montevideo is located in Montevideo, less than 0.6 mi from Independencia Square. The design of the interior is stylish and the feel pleasant, the attitude very friendly. I had asked for a quiet room and indeed I received a very quiet room, well protected from all noise. The location is excellent for walking the pedestrian street.

Apto. Entero Ciudad Vieja is located in Montevideo, just a 13-minute walk from Montevideo Harbour and 0.9 miles from Cagancha Square. Brilliant location in the center. Big apartments with nice view. Easy check in and check out. Very friendly owner and always in touch. Highly recommend!
