Boasting a balcony with sea views, a private beach area and a garden, Nini's Beach Bungalows can be found in Bira, close to Bara Beach and 90 metres from Tanjung Bira Beach. We stayed at Nini’s seaview bungalow for three nights, just a couple meters from the ocean. Nini’s is the only place with both restaurant and bungalow facing the water, which is a huge advantage compared to other resorts (and very good value for money). The bungalow is very comfortable and the bathroom is nicely decorated. The spaces are nicely designed, the food is amazing, and we will miss having breakfast with sea view. With only two bungalows, the atmosphere remains very familiar. Nini and the staff were very helpful and happily accommodated our requests, the service was exceptional. Bira is not as touristy as other Indonesian islands, don’t expect plenty of restaurants and cocktail bars, but if you are looking for a beach escape the place is perfect. Don’t miss out on diving and snorkeling.

Built in traditional Torajan style, Rura Raya Homestay is situated in Rantepao. The rooms here offers modern comforts and while maintaining the traditional decor. Me and my friend had a wonderful time in Toraja, and staying at Rura Raya was the best choice! The owner Manaek is a lovely and warm person ready to help with anything you might need, and she is an amazing cook-literally the best food we had in Indonesia! The room is clean and has a beautiful view of traditional Torajan houses. Highly recommended!!!

Offering an accommodation with a dive centre, Happy Gecko Dive Resort is located on Bunaken Island in North Sulawesi, just steps from the island’s world-famous beaches and diving sites. Delicious food, generous helpings. Friendly, helpful and attentive Willeke and staff. Made us feel at home. Thank you very much for a most enjoyable time. Highly recommended!

Guesthouse Guesthouse The 4 Fish is located in Tongkaina. Just 18 km from Manado and a 10-minute walk from a dive centre. Staying here even for one night is a must if you come to Manado. Forget every hotel, because you will find here first class service, food and view. We simply love it. Wifi/ Internet is stable and fast above all!

Located in Bunaken, 3WILL Bunaken Dive Resort is only a short distance from beautiful snorkelling and diving spots. It boasts a diving centre, massage services and a tour desk. The dive trips were outstanding and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We saw so many turtles.

Located in the famed diving site of Bunaken, Onong Resort offers cosy and homey beachfront accommodation featuring free WiFi access throughout the property. Clear water with clean beds and delicious meal.

Located right on Bara Beach in Bira, Cosmos Bungalows offers a beautifully simple beachfront accommodation where each bungalow has sea view. Free on-site parking space for guests who drive. The bungalows are simple and very nicely decorated. The views are to die for. I loved the stairs straight down to the beach, the hammock on the veranda, simplicity, small scale and the overall value for money. The food is yummy and the staff and owner very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Also, check out the diving centre next door, GaiaOne Boutique diving.

Located on Bunaken Island along the Pangalisan Beach, Cakalang Resort offers diving and snorkeling opportunities on-site. It has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. The food was very good. Ferdinand was great, the ferry wasn't running so he was able to find alternative transportation back and forth so we didn't miss out on our time at Bunaken. The reef is right in front of the facility.

Set on a mountain with views of natural scenery, Gardenia Country Inn is a 10-minute drive from Tomohon Traditional Market. The food was excellent and the gardens are spectacular

Bunaken Divers Sea Breeze Resort is located on a quiet spot on Pangalisang Beach, just 80 metres from the finest sites in the Marine Park. It provides free Wi-Fi and a PADI-certified diving centre. Gorgeous location, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, relaxing atmosphere and absolutely world-class diving :)
