The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast and nice rooms combining traditional style and comfort. Nice area too! very close to the main attractions and the shopping streets.

The units include a tatami. We had a wonderful time at the Nisha-itoya lodge. The staff were very attentive and helpful and looked after us so well. The Japanese food was wonderful and seemed to get better every night we stayed and they were able to accommodate my fussiness and my partner’s veganism. The public bath had a gorgeous view of the mountains.

There is no Onsen・Bath in 渋温泉小石屋旅館, however, staying guests at 渋温泉小石屋旅館 can enjoy 9 public baths in Shibu onsen(free). There are 2 shower rooms in 渋温泉小石屋旅館. Nice was super friendly and the ryokan is very nice. They also serve good food at the on site restaurant.

Boasting open-air hot spring baths, a heated indoor pool and beautiful Japanese gardens, Senjukaku offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation that has a historic charm. Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park is a 15-minute drive away. Breakfast was great. Onsen pools were perfect. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The spacious rooms at Fuki no Mori Hotel come with private bathrooms with free toiletries. All rooms have traditional decors, a seating area and a balcony with views. Most rooms have tatami (woven-straw) flooring with futon bedding. Bright rooms come with a traditional decor of tatami (woven-straw) floor, a low table with seating cushions and traditional futon bedding. They are fitted with a seating area, an LCD TV and a fridge. A safe and yukata robes are provided. this was the first visit to YOROZUYA after many years. always an exceptional experience. staff was great! Sakamoto-san was very accommodating in our SAKURA room for meals. will be sure to visit again. maybe stay in KIKU room?!?!

Guests sleep in Japanese-style rooms located in annex buildings. Fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and futon bedding, the rooms feature a flat-screen TV and a seating area with a low table. Bathroom is shared with other guests. This has marked a highlight of our trip, defining what traditionally lived Japanese hospitality feels like. We were deeply touched by the degree to which guests needs are quietly being catered to - repeatedly. We can highly recommend staying at this Ryokan, even if you don’t plan to do any of the numerous activities around. We will surely come back here for when the skiing seasons kicks off. We feel very thankful to have met these remarkable beings running the place.

The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each room comes with a TV, a fridge and an electric kettle with green tea bags. Japanese Yukata robes are provided and guests can enjoy views of the river or of the traditional stone-paved streets. Bathrooms and toilets are shared. The hospitality was great, the location is stunning and the ryokan itself is very comfortable and makes you feel at home. We had dinner and breakfast and they were able to accommodate one of us being vegan with both meals being delicious. The onsens are very quiet and very well maintained, and can be used for free by the ryokan's guests. Akira-san also offered to take us to both the snow monkeys resort and the station, which was great.

They come with traditional futon bedding and yukata robes, while bathroom facilities are shared. Everything about this hotel is awesome. If you want an authentic Japanese experience with a super friendly and helpful host I would really recommend this hotel to you. The location is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the onsen downstairs is great, I could keep on going, its all superb.

A 5-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Tawaraya offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Guests can relax in the indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths and wear colorful Japanese Yukata robes. Massages can be requested for an extra cost.

Tawaraya Ryokan is a 10-minute drive from Snow Monkey Park and a 15-minute walk from Heiwa Kannon. Shiga Kogen Ski Resort is a 30-minute drive away. Good and big outdoor onsen. Excellent staff hospitality
